Seferihisar is the center of the coastal district in İzmir, third biggest city in Turkey.Seferihisar became a Cittaslow in 2009.The population is 36.000.There are two important Ionian ancient sites in Seferihisar.Agriculture and fishery has been the main livelihoodwith eco-tourism developing in the recent years.There is The Children Municipality which provides better education.Seferihisar is famous for its satsuma tangerines.Geothermal dries tangerines being exported to Romania and Poland.An Agriculture Development Collective organized culinary courses for local people.Local crafts,tastes,arts make our district different and meaningful for people.
